John Salvatore Romita known professionally as John Romita Jr., is an American comics artist best known for his extensive work for Marvel Comicsfrom the 1970s to the 2010s. He is the son of artist John Romita Sr. I’ve always been a big fan of his blocky Kirby like style.
JRJR as he’s known is, in my opinion, the biggest comic book artist currently working and the heir apparent to the legacy of Jack Kirby. His dad, John Romita SR, was himself an incredible Marvel Artist who took over for Steve Ditko as the second artist to work on AMAZING SPIDER-MAN and later became Marvel’s Art Director. Now in his 90s with declining health I’m told. A true gentleman.
